In 1816 Captain Simon Fraser of Knockie published a collection of 230 airs and melodies from the Highlands and Islands and left a legacy of Celtic music that has endured by its merit into the 21st century.
The Captain’s Collection was recently broadcast by BBC Radio Scotland as a major drama series.
