We’ve introduced Ian Green’s Pick Of The Month, another look at back catalogue albums specially selected by the Greentrax Managing Director. This month’s title is John Campbell Munro’s album The Kelly Collection. Ian writes:

“John Campbell Munro was a multi-instrumentalist, an outstanding singer-songwriter, a companion on stage and in the studio to Eric Bogle for decades, and a very lovely and gentle man who died before his time. This album features the life of the Australian legend Ned Kelly (and his gang) in song, with a host of talented session people. It is highly recommended.”

Our latest re-release Music & Song of Scotland (Celtic Collections vol 17) compilation was first released in 1989 as a showcase for the then-fledgling Greentrax label, and went on to be a Greentrax bestseller. It recently went out of print and has been re-released on the Celtic Collections budget series where we anticipate it will continue to be a popular purchase by both tourists and folk enthusiasts alike.
