From the leader and founder member of the hugely popular 1970s band Rankin File came this solo album in 1993 by Iain Rankin, with a bunch of brand new self-penned songs.
Iain is a brilliant songwriter with a great voice to go with it.
In Pier House Studio, Iain surrounded himself with some of Scotland’s finest musicians: Fraser Speirs (blues harp), Colin MacFarlane (guitars), Keith Burns (drums), Gina Rae (organ, penny whistle), ‘The Girlies’ (backing vocals) and Aly Bain (fiddle).
The album was produced by Jim Sutherland and destined for great things but regrettably Iain Rankin had to return to his homeland in Canada before it could be promoted with live performances.
Very worth having a listen and download though!
