Gordon Duncan was certainly one of Scotland’s most innovative pipers and arguably one of the best.
He was also a notable and original composer - his tune Andy Renwick’s Ferret, included on this album by popular request, has been recorded in excess of fifty versions by pipers, Scottish dance bands and folk groups all over the world.
Gordon’s third album for Greentrax is a showcase of these amazing piping talents. Almost all of the forty tunes on this album were written by Gordon himself.
Gordon Duncan (Highland bagpipe, chanter, whistles) with Neil Fergusson (bouzouki), Tony McManus (guitar), Ewan Vernal (bass) and John Scullion (snare drum). Produced by Tony McManus.
