Donald Black - Westwinds

Mouth organ maestro Donald Black’s debut album, recorded in Pier House Studios and produced by Dougie Pincock.

Session musicians include Nan MacIver (piano), Malcolm Jones of Runrig (guitar), Alistair McCulloch (fiddle), Martin McHugh (accordion, bodhran) and Dougie Pincock (Highland bagpipe, whistle, flute).

Donald hails from the Benderloch area of mainland Argyll and received his first mouthorgan as a Christmas present from a kindly aunt. He has been playing mouthorgans ever since.

On the album he plays various mouthorgans.

“Westwinds is one hell of an album, a belter in fact…”
(John O’Regan)
