The McCalmans - Lost Tracks

The McCalmans - Lost Tracks

The McCalmans, who retired in 2010, made 26 albums and recorded over 400 songs. Finding new songs was a group passion and because of the constant influx of material, many songs never made it on to a Macs album. This album has studio recordings, rehearsal recordings, live recordings, Final Concert songs from the DVD, plus a couple of "cassette copies".

Includes tracks from the three McCalmans lineups between 1964 and 2010. A nostalgic, vintage collection for the many, many McCalmans fans who were sad to see the demise of the band.

Eric Bogle with John Munro - Voices

Eric Bogle with John Munro - Voices

Greentrax is proud to have been associated with Eric Bogle since 1989. In those 27 years Greentrax has released all of Eric's live and studio albums, including his collaborations with long-time buddy and touring partner John Munro, plus various compilations and the 5CD box set Singing The Spirit Home.

Voices is another amazing collection of songs - eight from Eric himself, probably one of the greatest songwriters of the past several decades. There are two songs from John Munro, one from Peter Titchener and a song sent to Eric by Simon Wilkins.

Freeland Barbour & Friends - The Music And The Land (The Concert)

Freeland Barbour & Friends - The Music And The Land (The Concert)

This album is from two live concerts organised for the launch in 2015 of Freeland Barbour's remarkable publication The Music And The Land - The Music of Freeland Barbour, a beautiful two-volume book set in a slipcase published by Birlinn Ltd.

The two concerts with Freeland and his guests were recorded and a 21-track album on one CD was selected by Freeland. The guests include The Occasionals, Mairi Campbell, Alison Smith, Jane Gardner, Janet Barbour, Kevin Macleod, Gus Millar, Neil MacMillan, Martin Carthy, Phil Cunningham, Ross Ainslie, Simon Thoumire, Gary West, Billy Kay and Cailean Maclean (one of Scotland's leading photographers who provided most of photos in the books).
